Stevie has been talking (gibber jabbing) since he was a few months old. He has always been a good communicator. I can't believe how much he has grown. When I took him into his 1 year visit with the doctor, she said he should have at least 5-10 words. I sat down to write every word, animal sound and gesture he could make. I counted at least 40 total. WOW!!! I know right!?! I know what your thinking, Poor Nick, he is going to be a talker just like his Mommy! :) LOL Poor Daddy!!! He really is a smart boy! He is a true sponge!
Yesterday I was on the phone with his Godmother and when I hung up Stevie asked, "Was that Nouna?" I had to do a double take. During Christmas time when we opened presents, Stevie was saying, "WOW", "What is it?", "Oh Wow!" LOL He is very expressive. When he shops with Mommy and I see something I like, I ask Stevie, "Do you like it?" and Stevie says, "It cute!" or "It cool!" I love my little man! :)
There is so much he can already do I don't know where to begin. He loves to give Knucks to his Tios and Daddy. No, he loves to give them out to everybody! LOL What are knucks you ask? Well it's a guy thing. It is when you pound your closed fist into the other person's closed fist. Tio Zane taught him that. :) He does it extra special with his sizzle after effect! ;) Most of you know what I'm talking about! :) He also does high fives and of course blows kisses for the ladies. And speaking of ladies, Stevie is a BIG flirt when it comes the the women! ;) He knows how to get his mack on. It's cute for now! :) Mommy will put an end to that one real quick! ;) I love to watch him try and give knucks or high fives to his cousin and god brothers. They look so funny trying to aim for each other and miss every time. LOL LOL LOL They are too cute!
Stevie's favorite thing to do is play basketball with Daddy! They love to dunk the ball right before the imaginary buzzer and make A LOT of noise afterwards. His favorite toy to play with are his cars. His favorite piece of technology is the cell phone. Nick gets a kick out of him when he puts the phone to his ear, tries to hold it on his shoulder and with his other hand bent behind his back as he talks and talks and talks. Nick says, "Hmmm I wonder where he got that from?" I said, "What are you trying to say!" Then I saw a video of myself and I do that exactly! LOL Like I said, quite the mimicker!
His favorite down time is reading his books and being read to. I love it when I go to his room and he is sitting on his rug with books all around him as he looks at them one by one, until he chooses the one he wants Mommy to read to him. Mommy LOVES to read so you can understand how happy that makes me. We can't go anywhere without taking his books along. He also loves to sing and be sung to. We have read and sung to him since he was in the womb. He can sing along and read along to his favorite ones. He can fill in the blank if you stop in the middle of the song. He fascinates us everyday!
Dancing is another one of his loves. Put some music on and he will shake a tail feather. He loves to dance and shake his booty around! :) We dance to Ellen everyday! The beat hits him and he just can't help himself! Just like his Mommy! ;) LOL
We never knew having a child would make us feel so complete. Stevie is a breath of fresh air and I can't wait for our family to keep growing! :)
